Vernetzen Veto PNA

Portable Network Analysis to your Operational Technology (OT) Networks

Vernetzen Veto PNA (Portable Network Analysis) is designed for collecting and reporting essential metrics regarding the quality and performance of wireless networks. its functionalities include:

  • Scanning of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi networks.

  • Link monitoring: Observing Wi-Fi signal strength and link characteristics while experiencing traffic load.

  • Performance evaluation: Assessing the network's performance based on a customizable set of metrics.

  • Generation of commissioning reports: Producing detailed reports that outline the network's performance mapped to specific locations on a level plan.

  • Troubleshooting: Provides tools for diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues such as latency, packet loss, etc.

Veto Portable network analyzer is a valuable tool for network administrators, OT professionals, and security experts to ensure the smooth operation, performance optimization, and security of industrial networks.

How does the Vernetzen Veto PNA work?

Vernetzen Veto PNA is a toolset for measuring and analyzing Wi-Fi signal quality throughout a deployment.

  •  It consists of 2 components:

  1. Veto Test Endpoint Unit: Connects to the network via a wired connection, and acts as the server to receive and send test data to and from.

  2. Veto PNA (Portable Network Analysis) tool: Mounts to a vehicle. Configured and controlled by a laptop via a wired connection. Establishes a connection to the Veto Endpoint Unit via WiFi for performance testing and troubleshooting.

  •  Veto Provides:

  1. Ability to visually plot test data on a level plan.

  2. Set parameters to be tested and the requirements they need to achieve, with pass or fail results.

  3. Export results to PDF or CSV.

  4. Troubleshooting tools
